Description
In the Pic family, I ask for André, the grandfather, who was awarded three stars in 1934, and Jacques, the father, who was also awarded three stars in 1973. Dreaming of becoming a stylist, Anne-Sophie, a child of the ball, was finally caught up by her gastronomic atavism and took over the reins of the glorious family business in Valence in the early 1990s. After a hard-fought battle, this ultra-inventive technician restored Pic to its former glory, earning three stars in her own right in 2007. She was also voted Chef of the Year. Since then, Anne-Sophie Pic has run several establishments, including La Dame de Pic in Paris, and opened a cookery school. Pic, a three-letter name like so many stars.
